Full-Time Business Manager – International Company

Job Description

We are building a retail-chain in emerging markets to bring ear-/nose- and belly piercing from the „underground“ into a nice, friendly and fashionable shopping environment; using the latest technology from the world leading manufacturer of piercing systems. We create a shopping experience, where a mother would like to bring her daughter to have her ears pierced and young women feel confident to get a belly piercing. Along with the piercing service, we sell jewelry for everyday use, at a reasonable price, made in the US
with high quality materials.

To start and build the business in Thailand, we are looking for a key person in Bangkok with very good qualifications and at the same time – as we are just starting – someone who is willing to put her hands on things and DO THINGS. This person has management functions and at the same time this person has to care for many details and set up things in the office and lead the setup of shops in malls in and around Bangkok. It is a good
opportunity for someone with overseas education, to start a career and to grow with the business.
Qualifications:

  • Female
  • 25 to 40 years
  • Fluent in English
  • University degree

Functions of this positions include:

  • Set up and run office operations at the central office in Bangkok (Office is close to Rama IX Hospital)
  • Prepare and coordinate marketing/administrative work required for the first prototype shop set-up
  • Responsible for store rollout plan in Bangkok (4 more shops this year)
  • Develop shop manual including standard workflows and processes for the shops.
  • Create standards for inventory control and packaging processes based on common accounting practice
  • Run all backoffice tasks: daily closings of shops, supply shops with goods, etc.
  • Liaison with the local marketing/shop design agency (all contacts in place)
  • Conduct effective hiring process; especially for sales staff positions
  • Organize and facilitate product trainings for sale staff
  • Coordinate and support sale staff for new store openings and events etc.

This sounds like a lot – and it is a lot; but we will of course train and help you and give you support where needed.

Here are some of the needed qualifications for this position:

  • Trustworthiness, independent and leadership mind
  • Fluent in English; good in communicating in English
  • Fluent in Thai
  • Business degree (BS/BA/Masters) + retail experience!
  • Good user knowledge on computers (Window or Mac)
  • Equiped with organization skills, time management skills and problem solving skills
  • Open minded professional

Salary: between 45K and 65K; depending on experience etc. In our case we will have a fixed part and a flexible part of the salary that is based on performance and reaching defined goals.
