Full-Time Regional Insurance Administrator

Job Description

Pearl Oil (Thailand) Ltd is a successful, exciting and growing international oil company with exploration and production interests in several countries in SE Asia. Pearl is looking for outstanding & active candidates for:

Responsibilities :-

Manage and maintain company insurance policies, systems, processes and procedures
Engage with regional offices to improve the understanding of the insurance function, encourage the flow of information material to the insurance process and demonstrate the benefits that regional and Group Insurance can deliver
Prepare and recommend the insurance premium budget for all locally procured insurance policies and contribute to the preparation of the Group Insurance budget
Monitor financial performance versus budget so that the business is aware of any actual or anticipated deviation from budget. Identify and rectify unsatisfactory performance and ensure that potential opportunities for improvement are capitalized upon
Continually review the existing basis of coverage to ensure that developing and emerging risk exposures and contractual obligations are appropriately insured
Identify alternative procurement strategies that optimize market leverage, deliver coverage enhancements and cost benefits
Provide day to day advice to all SEA regional offices on the scope, terms, conditions and exclusions of all locally procured and Group Insurance programmes
Develop, enhance and manage external relationships with regional and international insurance brokers, consultants and underwriters and liaise with partners and operators to facilitate the flow of information regarding insurance coverage
Review existing insurance programme management procedures and offer recommendations for improvement
Review existing claims procedures and identify opportunities for improvement to streamline the loss notification and claim settlement process. Ensure such procedures are disseminated to, and understood by, all appropriate personnel
Contribute to the preparation of all regional and Group Insurance MIS statements and reports

Qualifications and requirements :-

You have a minimum of 5 years general insurance experience of which at least 2 years has been spent in the oil and gas exploration & production sector.
You have an outstanding ability to present to and communicate with all levels of an organisation and count your relationship management skills as amongst your strongest assets.
Naturally persuasive and optimistic, you are able to operate with high levels of discretion, motivation and judgment at all times. You are now ready to apply and develop that capability in an agile, ambitious and forward-thinking organisation.
