Save the Children Sweden Southeast Asia and the Pacific Regional Office is seeking Thai applicants for the following position.
Project: Kampong Suenae
Department: Asia region
Location: Bangkok, Thailand
Reporting to: Project Coordinator
Expected start date: 27 June 2011/or earlier if possible
Type of contract: Temporary (4-6 months)
Project administrative and partner support
Follow up and coordinate with partners on the submission of project progress and financial reports
Prepare and follow up financial and other administrative documents when necessary, i.e. payment order, travel request, travel claim, etc.
Draft correspondence for project communication, both in Thai and in English
Translate project-related documents, both from Thai to English and English to Thai
Ensure proper filing of both hard and soft copies of project documents
Project management support
Assist/support the organization of Save the Children project activities.
Undertake a Mapping of child-focused or child rights civil society organizations working in the southernmost provinces of Thailand
Collection of data and information on children and children-related issues in the southernmost provinces of Thailand
Assist the Project Coordinator in the implementation and monitoring of the Kampong Suenae project
Assist the Project Coordinator in collecting and analyzing project data and information from the M&E process and based on the identified project indicators.
Provide other support needed in relation to Kampong Suenae project and any other expected tasks consistent with the terms of reference.
University degree in social sciences, political science, business administration or related field
At least 2 years of programme experience preferably with an international development organization
Professional experience in general management and communications
Fluency in written and spoken English
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure in a multi-cultural environment
Willingness to travel to the southernmost provinces of Thailand
