Create a ‘referral network map’ for key CRDM implanters and a systematic plan to target these referrals
Liaise with Marketing to align the creation of messaging to engage the referring physicians with the end goal of increasing patient throughput via the referral channel.
Ensure technical competent in all CRDM therapies by completing all Basic Brady, ICD and CRT Training to be able to occasionally support pacemaker, ICD, CRT implants and provide technical backup and follow up.
Plan and organise customer meetings and seminars
Develop and implement sales and call plans for specified territory as part of national strategy. Provide meaningful reports to the Sales Manager
Partner with Sales & marketing team to assist in expanding the customer base by establishing regular contact with key specialists, technical staff and administration personnel
Support sales activities by holding education sessions with physicians, hospital staff and Medtronic distributors.
Deliver analytical reporting on referral channels throughput, implant volume, market trends on a timely and regular basis
Gather market intelligence as an audit on hospital usage, competitor products and pricing, also continual updates on general competitive activities to pass on to sales manager.
In consultation with senior staff/sales manager, ensure customers and prospective customers are technically competent through: in-services, and/or regular product updates through correspondence and mailings
Ensure customer sales cycle is complete, i.e. managing PO and payment etc.
Partner with Medtronic distributors and ensure that good management practices are established with the distributor
Deliver sales forecast to Sales Manager to maintain stock levels adequately both at Medtronic and at the distributor’s end
Monitor and control local inventory in terms of consignment, shelf life, and turnover.
Complete surveys which provide assessment of customer satisfaction of Key markets and accounts.
Work within and actively promote Medtronic’s core mission, corporate strategies, policies, procedures and Code of Conduct.
Develop a thorough knowledge of clinical studies and the evolution of indications of various CRDM therapies
In collaboration with Medtronic Marketing Managers, plan targeted events, referral activities, referral dinners and workshops for cardiologists
Ensure that the highest level of product and therapy knowledge is attained and maintained in order to support customers on product features and therapy.
Experience and Knowledge:
A minimum of three – five years of previous sales experience in medical devices, medical equipment or Pharmaceutical industry
Experience with Cardiac Rhythm Management Industry is preferred
Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.

Degree in Medical Sciences or Biomedical engineering field or business discipline
Postgraduate business qualifications will be highly regarded
Other Comments or Requirements:
Some overseas travel at short notice may be required.
Some out of hours work may be required.
